Denominational Missions

Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC)

The Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) is the relief and development arm of the Christian Reformed Church. CRWRC reaches out in God's name to people, both in North America and around the world, who are struggling with poverty, hunger, disaster, and injustice to help them find lasting ways to improve their lives.

The three aspects of this ministry are:

  • Community Development

  • Disaster Response and Relief

  • Working with people in North America and around the world to connect them to ministry

Visit Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) for more details.

Christian Reformed Home Missions (CRHM)

Home Missions provides leadership assistance for evangelism and discipleship to all classes and congregations of the Christian Reformed Church (CRC), so that every CRC church, ministry, and member follows Christ in reconciling the world to God.

We do this through:

  • New Church Development

  • Resources for Healthy Churches

  • Campus Ministries

Visit Christian Reformed Home Missions (CRHM) for more details.

Christian Reformed World Missions

Established in 1888, Christian Reformed World Missions exists to help Christian Reformed churches to fulfill the Great Commission. We see the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) in North America participating in Spirit-led mission with churches and other Christian organinizations worldwide to proclaim the gospel, promote healthy churches, and advance the Kingdom of God.

Back to God Ministries International

Spreading God's Word and making disciples of all peoples through electronic media ministry. For nearly 70 years, Back to God Ministries International has covered the world with an ever-growing electronic media ministry. We beam the message of salvation to all corners of the earth in nine major world languages, using radio, television, the Internet, telecommunications and the printed page. Ministry leaders, native to their own languages, provide leadership in production of culturally relevant programs and follow-up in order to present Jesus Christ and help people to grow in their faith.

Visit Back to God Ministries International for more details.

Faith Alive Christian Resources

Faith Alive Christian Resources is the publishing house of the Christian Reformed Church. It provides resources to assist Christian churches in helping people to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and to show the lordship of Christ in their daily living. More than half the sales of materials published are to other denominations.

Faith Alive Christian Resources include The Banner and Reformed Worship. Faith Alive Christian Resources develops and produces church school curriculum and other study materials for people of all ages, as well as resources for worship and church development. World Literature Ministries coordinates the publishing and distributing of biblical Christian literature in several major languages.

The Network

Across the CRC, there are people like you doing ministry.

They are deacons, Sunday school teachers, musicians, office staff, webmasters, missions team members, GEMS leaders, elders, librarians, and so much more. They are in San Diego, Prince Edward Island, and everywhere in between.

Wouldn't it be cool to connect? You know, compare notes. Tell stories. Learn from each other. Get help. And discover that, hey, we're not alone!

This website is all about connecting - with each other, with resources, with experts - for ministry.

We've created networks for every role and ministry we could think of. Prayer coordinators? Check. Treasurers? Check. Cadet leaders? Check. Sound technicians? Check, 1, 2, 3, check. About 25 more networks? Check. And we won't be shy to add more as needed.

There are two types of networks:

Discussion Networks

Every network has a discussion forum where you can, well, discuss. You can ask, answer, observe, reflect, compare, ruminate. And hopefully others will join you. They may be down the street or across the country, but they're doing ministry just like you.

Guided Networks

Some networks have a bonus feature...guides! These are people who have been around the block a few times and have agreed to write a blog, assemble articles, collect resources, suggest websites, and more. They keep telling us that they're not 'experts' but we know better. Still, they'll rely on you to contribute your experiences, reactions, and suggestions. So don't be intimidated by them, OK? They're all really nice and they want to hear from you.

One more thing...this isn't the kind of website where you sit in the back pew, take it all in, and leave quickly before talking to anyone. No, this is one of those 'social' sites where ALL OF US create the value by commenting, questioning, sharing, and helping each other. The whole point is that we learn from each other and from what other churches and individuals are doing across the CRC. It requires active participation by you.

So let's get this CRC-wide conversation started!
